The RNOH Imaging Services has a close relationship with the London Sarcoma Service, one of the largest sarcoma services in Europe with an international reputation for providing the highest quality of care to patients with sarcoma.

The RNOH Trust Imaging Services offers synnovial biopsy services, a novel investigation for query infection arthroplasty patients.

The imaging services is also the first service in the UK to have implemented a PEDcat unit, which provides novel upright, weight bearing imaging of the ankle and foot using a low-dose CAT scanning technology. For further information, go to 3D Foot Scanner.

The Imaging Services supports the Trust monitoring for patients with Painful metal-on-metal bearings in hip replacements (MoM) in line with the MHRA guidelines.

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections, another novel treatment in the industry, are offered by the RNOH Trust Imaging Services to support patients for the management of tendinopathy.

The Imaging Services has a close relationship with the specialist spine surgeons in the Trust, who treat adult and paediatric scoliosis, degenerative spine disease conditions, trauma and rehabilitation. To support these services, our consultants perform a range of spinal interventional techniques, including facet join injections and spinal root blocks.
