On site accommodation
Unfortunately, due to the impact of COVID-19, the adult/patients guest room facilities are currently closed until further notice. This included any guest/patients who needs to be here the night before an admission.
The parent facility is currently open.
Accommodation on site is basic and very limited and it is advisable to provide your details in advance so it can be placed on the parent waiting list directly on 020 8909 5872.
A parent booking is not a guarantee as we are unable to predict what rooms become available until the admission date. However, a parent can sleep on the ward as a pull-out bed is available beside the patient on the Children’s Unit.
The accommodation may not be suitable for anyone with some disabilities as the rooms are on first floor level with no lifts or bar assistance.
There are 16 single parent bedrooms allocated to a parent whose children are aged between 0-17 years old.
The parent accommodation rooms are for single occupancy (no sharing permitted with any other family members) and is provided with basic hospital bedding and towels. The kitchen, bathroom, showers, toilets and a laundrette facilities are shared with the other parents. There is not a lounge/TV facility provided in this facility.
There is a restaurant on site and you can also use the kitchen facilities provided where you are advised to provide your own food and beverages. It is also advisable to provide your own toiletries, hairdryer, any household cleaning/washing products and coins, £1 & 50 pence pieces, for the washing/drying machines.
There is currently no charge for the parent rooms, although any donations are gratefully appreciated and will go towards the up-keep of the accommodation.
When making a booking/reserving, Visa card details are required to release the room and for any loss or damages.
The accommodation office hours are: 9.00am - 2.00pm, Monday to Friday.
If the patient’s hospital appointment is cancelled please inform the accommodation office directly by phone on 020 8909 5872. Please do not to leave a message with any other ward/department.
