The Care Quality Commission (CQC) has now published the National Inpatient Survey which sorts the views of 76,668 patients from all NHS Trusts across England. It is great news that the RNOH is now one of three trusts nationally to be classed as having better than expected results in England this year which is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our multi-professional teams and their commitment to providing world-class specialist treatment to our patients.
Understanding the views of our patients is important to us, and we are pleased to see that the RNOH is the best performing NHS trust in England for seeking feedback from patients about the quality of our services and their experience.
The RNOH has worked hard since the publication of the previous survey in 2017 to further improve the experience of our patients who travel from all over the UK to receive highly specialist care from our expert teams. This year we have seen a significant improvement in terms of patient experience at the RNOH when assessed against other NHS organisations.
Professor Paul Fish, Director of Nursing, Quality & Patient Experience, said “Our vision is to be a world leading neuro musculoskeletal hospital with the best patient care and staff experience in the NHS, and this year’s survey, alongside the staff survey, is evidence that we continue to make great progress towards that vision.”
We are committed to continually improve the experience of our patients and their families, and we will be looking to further improvements that we can make in 2019.
