RNOH is more than a workplace — we are a community that is committed to excellent patient care and staff experience. A key pillar in our Trust Strategy is to achieve the best staff experience in the NHS.
The results from the annual NHS Staff Survey demonstrate that we are improving, maintaining and achieving this goal across the NHS People Promises. Each year, we continuously benchmark amongst the top performing organisations nationally, regionally and locally.

Our Trust values underpin all that we do in patient care, service delivery & staff experience. Our behaviour charter outlines how we can realise these values and how we can demonstrate & role model these behaviours.

Our staff experience campaign, outlines three key areas of focus for improving our culture and staff experience:

We recognise that our brilliant people do brilliant work, and we offer rewarding careers where our staff can deliver world leading patient care, invest in their development and be a part of a supportive workforce community where they can thrive.

At RNOH, we are passionate about helping our people develop and thrive. We offer over 30 different apprenticeships to many of our colleagues in a wide range of roles and grades. These will range from AI , data and digital, Quality Improvement through to leadership and management, and a range of clinical pathways including ACP and Registered Nurse Degree Top Ups. Whether you’re looking to upskill, retrain, or take the next step in your professional journey, there’s an option for you.
These apprenticeships provide an excellent opportunity to gain practical and academic skills that improve performance, boost job satisfaction, and open doors to new roles and career progression.
