Albert Ngu qualified from the University of Southampton in 2011. He completed higher surgical training in Trauma and Orthopaedics on the East of England Rotation, gaining experience at Major Trauma Centres including Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge and the Royal London Hospital. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2022.
He subsequently undertook subspecialty fellowship training in complex primary and revision hip and knee replacement at the University of Calgary, Canada, followed by a Pelvic and Acetabular Trauma Fellowship at St George’s Hospital, London. He was awarded the Trinity Cup for the most accomplished trainee at the Cambridge Trauma & Orthopaedic Club.
Mr Ngu’s practice covers all aspects of hip and knee arthroplasty surgery. His specialist interests include primary and revision hip and knee replacement, the direct anterior approach for hip replacement, day case arthroplasty, robotic-assisted surgery, and complex pelvic and acetabular reconstruction.
Alongside his clinical practice, he is active in research and education. He serves as a reviewer for the Bone & Joint Journal and is involved in teaching and training the next generation of orthopaedic surgeons.
