RNOH has been ranked as one of the best specialised hospitals in the world in the sixth annual poll from Newsweek and Statista. The poll highlights the leading hospitals worldwide in 12 medical field including cardiac surgery, endocrinology, gastroenterology and neurology. Read the poll here.

RNOH was ranked 15 out of 150 orthopaedic centres from around the world, the highest for any UK hospital, and the only one to appear in the top 40 and one of only seven European centres in the top 30. This news comes on the back of RNOH's recent ranking as the second-best acute hospital in the NHS.

This ranking is built on a worldwide online survey conducted from May to July 2025 using recommendations from medical professionals, as well as accreditation data and certifications, and Statista’s PROMs Implementation Survey. Hospitals that have expertise in multiple fields received separate recommendations for each specialty.

RNOH sits alongside other prestigious hospitals including the Cleveland Clinic, The Johns Hopkins Hospital, and Mayo Clinic-Rochester. These hospitals demonstrate the best specialised care, setting the standard for global excellence.

Congratulations to everyone at RNOH for ensuring we continue to deliver the best care to our patients.
