The latest summer issue of Articulate is available to read or download.

articulate 150 cover.pngIssue 150 includes an update on the progress of the Electronic Health Record programme, a significant and major improvement in our digital infrastructure that will benefit patients and staff when it launches in November.

There’s a report on the Prosthetic and Amputation Rehabilitation Centre (PARC) at RNOH Private Care, a facility that has been transformed to offer a more accessible, efficient, and patient-focused service. We celebrate a decade of the RNOH Volunteer Service – and wave goodbye to Volunteering Lead Diane Young. There is some great nursing research news including lots of academic success and awards; we also congratulated all our successful Preceptees on Nurses’ Day.

The RNOH Charity provide updates on all their amazing fundraising activities including the refurbishment of the Spinal Cord Injury Centre dayroom, the results of the Move in March challenge and launch of their charity hub.

Another close charity partner is Horatio’s Garden and, in this issue, you can read all about the incredible story of Consultant Urological Surgeon Mohammed Bela who was treated at RNOH for a spinal injury. Mohammed, like many other patients, found access to the garden a vital part of his recovery. Following his time at RNOH, he returned to work at  Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Birmingham - becoming the only known paralysed surgeon working in England.

You can read this and much more in the latest issue.
