The Cavell Star Awards are given to nurses, midwives, nursing associates and healthcare assistants who shine bright and show exceptional care to one of three groups; colleagues, patients, or patients' families.

Colleagues nominated Langeswary for delivering exceptional patient care.

The award is named after Edith Cavell, a British nurse during the First World War. She is celebrated for saving the lives of soldiers from both sides and helping over 200 Allied soldiers escape from German-occupied Belgium. The Germans executed her in October 1915, but her legacy remains in recognising the very best in compassionate care.
