We’re thrilled to announce that five outstanding entries from RNOH have been shortlisted as finalists for the prestigious Nursing Times Awards 2025!

These awards celebrate the brightest talent in the profession, those who are redefining what it means to deliver innovative, inclusive, and patient-focused care. This year saw a record-breaking 750+ submissions, with an exceptionally high standard across all categories. The judges faced a tough task, but five of our brilliant teams and individuals stood out for their innovation, compassion, and commitment to excellence in nursing.

 Our 2025 Finalists:

  • Ann Shuttleworth Rising Star Award: 

    • Stefania Omagbon (RNOH)

  • Clinical Research Nursing Award: 

    • Nurses Research Interns (RNOH)

  • Dame Elizabeth Anionwu Award for Inclusivity in Nursing and Midwifery:

    • Supporting NHS Veteran Aware Healthcare: Personalising holistic care for the Armed Forces community (Veterans Covenant Healthcare Alliance and RNOH)

  • Sustainability in Nursing and Midwifery Award: 

    • Surgical admissions and procedure unit: New patient property bag (RNOH)

  • Theatre and Surgical Nursing Award: 

    • Improving admission and discharge pathways for children and young people (RNOH)

The next steps include the live judging round (10 to 19 September) followed by the awards ceremony (22 October 2025).
