We are delighted that the team at the MSK (Musculoskeletal) Community Hub in Enfield is nominated in the Institute of Osteopathy Awards finals in the Innovation in Practice category, which recognises 'innovation in any activity from delivery of patient care and increased access to osteopathy, to developing new business models or career pathways. You could be an ambassador, raising awareness and recognition of the profession, or leading the way in developing evidence-informed practice.'

The community hub is helping to address the NHS backlog, health inequalities, and inequity of access and is demonstrating successful collaboration across multiple primary and secondary care partners in the North Central London Integrated Care Board. The team there is excited about how the hub has progressed in delivering innovative patient pathways. There has already been a significant effect in reducing the number of patients waiting to see a spinal surgeon, and the hub has improved the quality of life for those waiting for an orthopaedic procedure such as a hip or knee replacement.

Max Manlay, Team Lead/Specialist Osteopath, said: "We are so excited and privileged to be nominated and to now be finalists for this incredible award dedicated to innovation in practice by the Institute of Osteopathy. The incredible work we all strive daily to achieve at the Enfield MSK Hub is built around innovation. To be recognised among the other incredible work being done nationally is a credit to the innovative team that has been built and the excellent care delivered to all patients."

Congratulations to all the team at the  Enfield MSK Community Hub - and good luck! The award results are announced on 21 October.
