RNOH Charity Ambassador, David Holmes has set up a fundraising appeal with the ambitious goal of raising £100,000 for the refurbishment of the day room at RNOH’s Spinal Cord Injury Centre (SCIC). The space, crucial for helping to rebuild lives after a life changing spinal cord injury, is now outdated and currently lacks adequate warmth.

Donate today and help David reach his goal

David, who spent six months at the SCIC in 2009, following an accident on set while filming Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1, said, “The Spinal Cord Injury Centre, where I stayed, is dedicated to comprehensive rehabilitation for people like me who experienced life changing spinal cord injuries. The centre needs funds for its out-dated day room to create a space that enhances the wellbeing of patients, promotes community and elevates morale during recovery.”

The SCIC at RNOH sees approximately 250 people each year. A newly refurbished, multipurpose and accessible day room will enhance the wellbeing of each of these patients. It will provide them with a non-clinical space to socialise with other patients, friends and family.

Every donation, big or small will help to create an opportunity to transform the experience of people at this critical time, by transforming their environment.

Be part of this transformation – your contribution is not just a donation; it’s an investment in the futures of individuals facing, life changing spinal cord injuries.

Your generosity has the power to reshape lives. Donate here today, and help David reach his ambitious goal of £100,000 so that work on the SCIC day room can start as soon as possible.
