Our Chief Nurse, Prof Louise Morton, has announced her intention to retire from RNOH in July. Louise started here in January 2022, building upon a distinguished career in nursing and brought with her a depth of skill and knowledge gained through a lifelong commitment to caring for patients and to nursing excellence.
In a little over four years at RNOH, Louise’s leadership and guidance has seen the trust navigate challenges and opportunities alike and her unwavering focus on clinical quality, patient safety and experience has helped RNOH secure and maintain its position as not just the UK’s largest centre for musculoskeletal care, but also a recognised global centre of excellence.
Prof Paul Fish, RNOH CEO, said: “Since joining us in January 2022, Louise has brought clear leadership and a strong focus on nursing and quality. She has played a key role in important developments across the trust and has supported teams through both planned change and more challenging periods. Her experience and perspective have been valued across the organisation, and I would like to thank her for the commitment she has shown during her time with us.
Please join me in thanking Louise for her contribution to RNOH and in wishing her well for the future.”
The trust will shortly begin the process to recruit a new Chief Nurse and will provide updates in due course.
We wish to thank Louise for the role she has played in shaping the trust’s journey thus far and wish her the very best for her future.
