Rob McCulloch qualified in 2009 from the University of Birmingham, and completed his surgical training on the Oswestry and Oxford Orthopaedic rotations, becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2018. Following completion of training, he completed three specialist fellowships at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, Birmingham and the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore, specialising in the management of periprosthetic joint infection, hip and knee reconstruction and orthopaedic oncology. He was also awarded the British Orthopaedic Association travelling fellowship.

Rob is passionate about education and surgical training. He holds a Masters degree in Medical Education, and trains surgeons on the Stanmore rotation. He is an Advanced Trauma Life Support instructor and teaches on two FRCS examination courses.

Rob’s principle research interests focus on revision arthroplasty and periprosthetic joint infection.
