London Irish Ward
About the ward: London Irish Ward is a ward in the Stanmore Building made up of 16 single ensuite rooms and four bays, each with four beds and a bathroom/toilet. When recovering from surgery or having investigations performed, you will want care, rest and comfort. Whether you are here for a day or a number of weeks, we want you and your family to feel well informed and understand what is happening. We aim to provide a clean and safe environment to maintain your privacy and dignity.

Visiting times are 13.00 – 20.00. Visiting outside these hours may be permitted on individual occasions by special arrangements with the Nurse in charge.

- Breakfast approximately from 07.30
- Lunch approximately from 12.15
- Supper approximately from 17.15
Beverages are served at intervals throughout the day.
London Irish ward facilities
Dayroom: there is a small dayroom on the ward where television is available.
Phones/internet access: there are bedside phones as part of the patient entertainment system with each bed; mobile phones are allowed but must be switched off between 22.00 – 08.00 and set to quiet at all other times. You can connect to the WiFi service for patients via the bedside entertainment system
Shower rooms: each room has its own ensuite bathroom
Toilets: each room has its own ensuite bathroom
Post: will be delivered to your bedside should any arrive for you.
Nurse handover: this takes place at 07.30- 08.00 each morning and 19.30 – 20.00 each evening at the patient’s bedside.
Doctors ward rounds: throughout the day
Smoking is strictly prohibited in all areas.
