The RNOH aims to be a world-leading orthopaedic hospital with the best patient care and staff experience in the NHS

SCAT Bone Cancer Trust

scat logoSCAT is a small but effective charity based in the Sarcoma Unit of the RNOH. SCAT is dedicated to the advancement of bone cancer research, to understanding further the causes, process and management of bone cancer, as well as working towards a better outcome for patients.

Over the past 10 years SCAT has raised £2.5m. It is the only cancer charity in the UK that helps fund high performance limbs not available on the NHS, for patients who have had an amputation as a result of bone cancer. In addition, SCAT funds vital research in the early stages at RNOH and UCL so that findings can then attract greater funding in going forward. All money donated to SCAT helps bone cancer patients both now, and in the future. SCAT has a wonderful Board, many of whom are consultant surgeons who know only too well where funds are most needed.
