Today marked International Nurses' Day - honouring Florence Nightingale’s legacy and the millions who follow in her footsteps.
Nurses deliver vital health and social care at every stage of life. In the UK, they remain the most trusted profession - embedded in communities, leading both care and prevention every day.
At RNOH, we celebrated our fantastic nursing colleagues and the contribution they make in caring for our patients - we thank each and every one of them.
Our Chief Nurse, Prof. Louise Morton, welcomed everyone and spoke of the complexity of the nursing role, how incredibly amazing and rewarding it is to be a nurse. She also presented preceptees certificates on completion of the RNOH preceptorship programme. Well done to all!
The Stanmore Building atrium was alive with energy as nurses enjoyed reiki treatments, fab raffle prizes (generously donated by colleagues across the Trust), food and drinks (from ISS) and lots more. The atmosphere was fantastic!
Colleagues shared heartfelt and special moments that stay with them in their every practice on The Diamond Moments tree.
Thank you to all the fantastic Middlesex University Nursing students who did an amazing job encouraging health and wellbeing.
