We are delighted to announce the appointment of Bev Thomas as the new Chief Nurse at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH).

Bev will join the Trust in August 2026, following the retirement of our current Chief Nurse, Louise Morton, whose leadership and commitment have made an exceptional contribution to RNOH.

Bev Thomas.jpgBev’s career includes progressive senior leadership roles across critical care, emergency care, acute medicine and divisional nursing leadership, most recently as Director of Nursing for Barnet and Chase Farm Hospitals, part of the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust, and previously at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust.

Bev said: “I’m very much looking forward to joining RNOH and learning more about the people and teams behind its excellent reputation. The Trust is well known for its specialist expertise and the high standards of care delivered by its nursing workforce. I’m looking forward to working with colleagues to support and develop our nurses, build on existing strengths, and continue delivering high quality, patient centred care.”

Professor Paul Fish, RNOH Chief Executive, said: “I am delighted to welcome Bev to RNOH as our new Chief Nurse. Bev brings substantial leadership experience and a clear commitment to quality, staff wellbeing and patient centred care, and will be a strong and supportive leader for our nursing workforce. I would also like to sincerely thank Louise Morton for her exceptional leadership and the lasting contribution she has made to the Trust.”
