RNOH hosts the 3rd Vitamin D Update - Monday 18th November
The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital is running its 3rd Vitamin D Update on Monday 18th November with international experts including Professor Reinhold Vieth and Professor Zulf Mughal.
Vitamin D deficiency has been linked to a range of debilitating diseases in children and adults including diabetes, tuberculosis, multiple sclerosis and rickets. Pilot studies and regional monitoring suggests that vitamin D deficiency is likely to affect at least half the UK's white population, up to 90% of the multi-ethnic population and a quarter of all children living in Britain.
The RNOH treats patients from across the UK, so we again expect doctors, health visitors, midwives, pharmacists, public health and other health professionals from far and wide to attend the event.
