Former patient gives £25,000 worth of thanks to RNOH

A former RNOH private patient has donated £25,000 towards the redevelopment of the Stanmore site. Cancer survivor Declan Kelly donated the funds to the RNOH Charity Redevelopment Appeal by way of thanks for saving his life.
Mr Kelly gave the money after he was successfully treated for chordoma of the coccyx, a rare form of spinal cancer which made if difficult for him to walk unaided.
He was operated on by Professor Tim Briggs and his team, who successfully removed the tumour in November last year.
