Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust was proud to sponsor the Health Category of the national TeenTech Awards 2017 and jointly with UCL ASPIRE Centre for Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology (CREaTe) contribute to the judging of some amazing ideas on the day.
The event was held on the 26th of June, 2017 at the Royal Society in London, a fitting venue for an inspiring day with bright young people with ground-breaking ideas. We hope to continue our involvement with TeenTech and encourage young people to consider roles within healthcare, and healthcare research especially. The ideas seen on the day are aligned to our own aims of delivering innovation for improving patient care.
We hope to welcome of the winners (Annabel & Isabella – pictured above with Dr Christian Jessen & Dr Angela Graham) of the Health Category from Oakham School at the RNOH in the near future. Their own idea “TeraDetect & Encrypt” has a potential to improve cancer diagnostics.
