RNOH is one of seven partners contributing to the BAMOS project (Biomaterials and Additive Manufacturing: Osteochondral Scaffold (BAMOS) innovation applied to osteoarthritis) funded by the EU Horizon 2020 programme. Together with University College London Institute of Orthopaedics & Musculoskeletal Sciences (UCL IOMS), RNOH is contributing to this collaboration programme to develop new scaffolds to treat osteochondral defects. As part of the programme RNOH and IOMS will be hosting scientists from Spain, Portugal and China.
Professor Alister Hart is the clinical lead for the project at the RNOH and Dr Chaozong Liu is the lead for the project on behalf of IOMS. The project provides opportunities for staff exchange and enables scientists to experience a clinical environment. We are hosting our first visitor from The University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC) during March and April, 2017.
We are looking forward to working on this exciting project. For more Information, please see the project website: www.risebamos.eu
