New RNOH Redevelopment film
In a new video, our Chief Executive, Rob Hurd, takes the viewer through the plans for our new inpatient ward block due to open in 2018. The video also features Prof Tim Briggs and includes specially designed graphics illustrating the new building design and where it will be located on the Stanmore site.
The building will include:
- Children and Young People’s Ward of 27 beds with embedded therapy and education functions and an external play area to replace the current paediatric wards;
- Adult Acute Wards to include 64 beds over two floors, with embedded therapies to replace three of the current outdated adult wards – Duke of Gloucester, Ward 4 and Margaret Harte Ward;
- A welcoming main entrance that will provide reception and waiting space plus a retail outlet and coffee shop.
- A children’s activity centre will be created within the foyer which will be fitted out with a range of toys, games and interactive technological equipment funded by the RNOH Charity
