Clinical Trials Day 2016
International Clinical Trials Day is celebrated around the world on 20th May every year to commemorate the day that James Lind started his famous trial on the deadly disease scurvy. It provides a focal point to raise awareness of the importance of research to health care, and highlights how partnerships between patients and healthcare practitioners are vital to high-quality and patient relevant research.
RNOH is active in developing new ideas and recruiting into clinical studies, more information can be found under Research and Innovation Centre.
In the afternoon of Friday 20th May 2016 the Stanmore Clinical Research Centre (SCRC) team will be talking to people in Outpatients to provide information about why we do clinical research, why it is important, and what sort of projects are being conducted at the RNOH. We will also have representative of the Research & Innovation Centre (RIC) in Broccles Restaurant on site to provide information to patients as well as staff about our activities.
