Delivering Great Care at RNOH

Maya Benny, Short Stay staff nurse at the RNOH

Maya Benny, Short Stay staff nurse at the RNOH has become the first recipient of the bronze award badge after receiving five ‘I Delivered Great Care’ badges in just two days! The badges are part of the new patient Welcome Pack that was launched across all of the inpatient wards on Monday 1st February. The badges are awarded by RNOH patients to members of staff who they feel have delivered great care to them during their stay.

To celebrate Maya’s achievement, Paul Fish, Director of Nursing, visited the ward to give Maya her bronze badge. Paul said, “Maya’s achievement is a wonderful illustration of the great care that gets delivered by RNOH staff every day, and I am delighted that our patients have recognised and rewarded Maya’s efforts. To achieve five badges is special, but to do so in a very short space of time is very impressive! Well done Maya!”

To receive a bronze badge, staff must receive five ‘I Delivered Great Care’ badges from patients. Five bronze badges results in silver, and five silver badges gains a gold award.

The patient packs were made possible by the generosity of the RNOH Charity who agreed to fund the initiative for a year.
