Friends of RNOH present farewell donation
Marking the end of an era and the start of another, a cheque for £375,000 was handed over to the RNOH Charity earlier this week. The money was a farewell donation from the Friends of RNOH, the hospital volunteers charity that had recently been wound up after 52 years supporting the Trust.
MP for Harrow East and Chair of the Friends, Bob Blackman was accompanied by long-standing Friends member Loelia Harris. Together, they handed the cheque to Brian Carlin, Chair of the RNOH Charity, and Cllr Joe Carlebach, RNOH Charity Board member. Also in attendance was RNOH Chief Executive, Rob Hurd. The handover of the money means the Friends leave a fine legacy of supporting and funding facilities at RNOH that will be continued under the banner of the RNOH Charity.
