Grand opening of the RNOH Legacy Room
Guests including patients and staff from across the Trust attended the official opening of the Legacy Room last week.
This new prosthetic rehabilitation service at RNOH offers improved features to patients including the largest vector gait rail system in the UK, aimed at providing safe and efficient rehabilitation support. The Legacy Room is one of nine national multidisciplinary centres providing specialist rehabilitation and extends the current world-class expertise and skills of the RNOH.
Clare Tamsitt, Operational Manager for Prosthetics & Orthotics said: “It has been an interesting and challenging journey to get to this point – however it means all our patients will ultimately benefit from advanced equipment and increased level of staffing to accommodate the complex needs of our patients and rehabilitate them safely and confidently. I feel honoured to have played a part in this and endeavour to strive for more, for our patients that are going through life-changing circumstances.”
