The Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) offers support, information and assistance to patients, relatives and visitors.
The PALS can:
- Act as a central contact point for information about the hospitals services and guidance on how to access other health information.
- Help to sort out problems or concerns about the hospital's services, not resolved by speaking to staff on the ward or in the clinic.
- Provide information/guidance on the hospitals complaints process.
- Provide information about external independent advice services who can assist when making a complaint.
- Listen to views and comments to help to improve services and offer opportunities for more direct involvement in the development of the hospitals services.
- Provide access to interpreters, signers and other support services.
Where is the PALS office situated?
The PALS office is situated in the Outpatients' Department, Stanmore.
The service is also accessible at the central London Outpatient Assessment Centre, Bolsover Street.
