This course retains the basic structure of underlying science, multidisciplinary management, secondary prevention and policy change, while emphasising the following themes:
- Anabolic treatment for bone muscle
- Fragility fractures in men
- Prevention and treatment of delirium
- Obesity and fragility fractures
- Conundrums in osteoporosis treatment - drug holidays, atypical fractures, cardiovascular risk, etc
- The QOF and FLS in primary and secondary care
- Expansion of NHFD to include FLS
- The Fragility Fracture Network of the Bone and Joint Decade
- BPT and other national developments
