The Disability Foundation

The Disability Foundation (TDF) is a registered charity promoting the lives of all disabled people, their families and carers, by supporting them in their desire to live an independent and dignified lifestyle - making their own choices. The centre provides a fully integrated environment with a holistic approach to both conventional and complementary treatments and therapies.

Complementary Therapy Service

To promote wellbeing on an emotional, physical and spiritual level, TDF offers a wide range of therapeutic treatments from our five treatment room complementary therapy centre based at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore.

All the complementary therapies are offered at reduced rates to disabled adults and children, their carers and families. The therapists are all fully qualified and insured with experience of working with disabled people. Through clearly defined, simple policies and practices the team provides caring, reliable and consistent treatments that are both accessible and affordable. Some of the therapies available are:

  • Acupuncture
