Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, NHS Trust

The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital aims to be the specialist orthopaedic hospital of choice by providing outstanding patient care, research and education.

Barbara Bus

The aim of the fund is to provide a means of transport for people within the hospital and the surrounding community, who, due to their disability are unable to use conventional transport.

No charge is made for the use of the vehicle, but we do ask for the vehicles to be returned in a clean and tidy condition, with a full tank and a donation made to the Fund if possible.

Currently, the Barbara Bus Fund has four specially converted vehicles which can take single wheelchairs, and two modern vans which can hold up to three wheelchairs in comfort. Each vehicle can also carry several passengers.

All vehicles are fully equipped with appropriate wheelchair and passenger restraints.

If you need more information about the fund, please contact the co-ordinator on 0208 416 0733 or use our website:barbarabus.com

To keep up the good work, and to cover the costs of running and maintaining the vehicles and investing in new vans, we welcome donations. We are also always in need of volunteer drivers.
