Buttercup walk

participants in the Buttercup walk

Between the First and Second World Wars, the hospital held a Buttercup Day in June each year. Children would pick buttercups from around the hospital for sale in Central London. With the coming of the Second World War the day was postponed, never, it was thought, to be revived . . .
